His passion for real estate, music, golf and most important family are just a few of the things that drive Craig Duran. Craig started selling real estate in 2003 then founded The Duran Group in 2015. Before real estate, Craig played music professionally (saxophones) for 10+ years playing alongside some of the greats in jazz while also performing in various reggae, funk, pop and blues bands.  

When he isn't helping his real estate customers, Craig still plays music when he can and of course is always up for a round of golf.  However, his beautiful family is his main focus.   Craig and his wife Christy, an entertainment lawyer, enjoy all the time they can with Ava (13) and Roman (7). Steve comes to the Duran group from a long and successful career in medical equipment sales. Having worked for the top medical companies in the industry, Steve brings that professionalism with him to real estate.

Having recently relocated from Memphis, Steve now calls 30A home and could not be happier about it.

When not working with his real estate clients, Steve is an aviation enthusiast.  As a licensed pilot for 29 years, he has been able to be a “weekend resident” on 30A for 20 years.  Now, as a full-time resident, Steve is ready to help others find their own personal piece of paradise.


Craig established realistic expectations upfront - likely selling range and elapse time - for the sale of our Panama City Beach Condo. His approach was data-based, comparing the positive attributes of our unit, and aspects (21st floor, closed for major repairs in Q4 ) that might limit buyer interest, and continued to keep us updated on the market trends, competitive units, and potential buyers. His team was characterized by the same level of excellence, and made this "the most stress free" real estate transaction ever. I have bought and/or sold 20+ properties. We have done four different deals with Craig over the years, three purchases and one sale. He knows the market and is a savvy and experienced negotiator. He guided us through the process smoothly each time. He has also provided solid service and took care of many things that would have been difficult for us, as we are not local. For two of the purchases that I did with Craig, I never even set foot in the house before closing.  One of our deals was the purchase of a short sale property that was complicated but went smoothly. On the later sale of that property, Craig was a good negotiator and helped us maximize our return.

Craig helped us seamlessly find the condo we were looking for. He made the process simple and easy. He listened to what type of condo we wanted to look at verses wasting our time with units we did not want to view. When we put in an offer, he was a tough negotiator on the seller and their realtor.  We got them down to the price we wanted to pay for unit within 2 days. Craig's staff is super fun efficient and professional. He is also selling our house right now. We could not be happier with Craig.  We highly recommend him.
